Publication deadlines:

3 p.m. the day before for Tuesday through Saturday editions for full-paid obituaries; and by 5 p.m. for free death notices. (ie: by 3 p.m. Monday for Tuesday edition for a complete obituary)
2 p.m. Sunday for Monday publication for all obituaries.

Regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; closed Saturdays. Obituary personnel will be in the office approximately from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. Sundays.

We offer the following two obituary formats:

A death notice is limited to the name, age, town and funeral services at no charge.
A standard obituary is $70 for up to 10 column inches. Information longer than 10 inches will be charged $10 per inch (or partial inch) for the entire obituary.

Digital-electronic or printed photos are accepted. A clear photo should be used with the reproduction depending largely on the quality that is provided. Please write the name of the deceased on the back of the photo if hand-delivering to The Times. The only additional charge for a photo is for the additional space, approximately one inch.

Obituaries will not be published until confirmation with a funeral home or crematory. Please provide the company information. A funeral home should confirm receipt of an obituary by emailing or calling The Times. Obituary personnel for The Times will reply to emails and/or return phone messages as soon as possible.
