This photo was taken on Commercial Street in Marseilles about 1950 during a strike at the Nabisco factory in the background. Posing on Barb (Olson) Mark's Ford Model T are, on the fender from left, Mark, Virjean Jones and Virgene (Outman) Lockas. Behind the wheel is June (Morello) Pitsenbarger. On the running board is Velma (Eiben) Downey. In the back seat, from left, are Lorraine (Joanis) Cox and June (Halterman) Caputo. "We thought we were cutesy-wootsie," Mark told The Times. She said the strike concerned insurance benefits, also that she later sold the Model T "for about $15 to one of the Gage boys."
