Families from all across the Illinois Valley attended the 24th annual Kids Fishing Expo on Saturday at Baker Lake in Peru. Children learned how to bait hooks, tie knots, cast, sample fish, among other activities. The event is sponsored by The Better Fishing Association of Northern Illinois, Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Peru Rescue Station.
