LA SALLE COUNTY - Christopher J. Coley, 22, 1201 E. 12th Road, Streator, was arrested after county deputies found a vehicle fully submerged in water in a ditch off North 12th Road near East 12th Road. Coley was cited on complaints of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to report an accident to police authority, improper lane usage, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Coley was taken to county jail where he posted bond and was released.
STREATOR - A 15-year-old male was cited on complaints of curfew violation and illegal consumption of alcohol at 900 E. Main St. at 12:28 a.m. Sunday. He was released to the custody of his parents.
- James T. Johnson, 26, 803 Clement St., Joliet, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. Sunday on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for criminal damage. He was taken to county jail.
- A resident in the 800 block of North Monroe Street reported that a portion of a backyard fence was pushed down and damaged. An investigation is pending.
STATEPOLICE - Tires rolling off a semitrailer driven by David L. Pearson, 45, of Summerfield, Fla., eastbound on Interstate 80 near Utica caused an accident that blocked traffic at 3:04 p.m. Monday. One of the rolling tires bounced into the westbound lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Gelzinis Povilas, 33, of Arlington Heights. Both westbound lanes were closed for about 30 minutes as the accident scene was cleared. No citations or injuries were reported.
