Police said they halted a methamphetamine lab on wheels early Saturday morning in Oglesby.
Print this storyAbout 4:45 a.m. Saturday, Oglesby police called an agent of the Tri-County Drug Enforcement and Narcotics Team to the scene of a traffic stop because an Oglesby officer and one from La Salle who was assisting suspected a mobile meth lab in the vehicle. Police said the Tri-DENT agent determined it was a lab. The vehicle was towed to a safe location. The State Police Meth Response Team responded at 5 p.m. to help clean up the vehicle and destroy the meth ingredients. The vehicle's driver was Steven D. Morris, 39, 600 N. Hamlett St., Marion. His passengers were Timothy J. Besix, 19, 603 Stewart Drive, Marion, and Adam L. Holman, 29. Holman had addresses at both 32175 1800 North Ave., Arlington, and in rural Mendota. All three were arrested on complaints of possession of meth and possession of meth precursors (ingredients). The suspects were taken to the La Salle County Jail. |
