Community House of Art in Ottawa is sponsoring its second annual fundraising event, The Art of Dessert, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Jeremiah Joe Coffee, 807 La Salle St., Ottawa.

Guests will sample the work of local culinary artists as they compete for the Art of Dessert award. They also can bid on locally created artwork during the silent auction, which includes prints, jewelry and glass, photography packages, a personal guided backstage tour of the Lyric Opera House in Chicago with tickets to the opera of the winner's choice, tickets to the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and more.
