A man police have identified as a Latin King gang member missed a court hearing Thursday in La Salle County Circuit Court.

Michael L. Diaz, 33, was charged in 2007 and 2008 with driving while license revoked. He was set for a court hearing on the charges Thursday, but did not show. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for him. As of late Friday afternoon, Diaz was in the Kane County Jail. Diaz has given Marseilles and Aurora addresses in recent years.

The driving while revoked charges were delayed in part because Diaz faced murder charges in Kane County in 2007 and 2008. However, in 2008 one murder charge was dropped and later in the year Diaz was found not guilty of the other one.

In a separate case, Diaz's brother, 32-year-old Jamie M. Diaz, is facing two murder charges in Kane County. Jamie, who also has been linked to the Latin Kings, is imprisoned for a cocaine offense stemming from 2007 in Marseilles while the murder case proceeds.
