LA SALLE — Jack Barriger will present the topic "Civil War Railroads" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Hegeler Carus Mansion, 1307 Seventh St.

A retired railroad employe, he is the son of John W. Barriger III and currently serves on the John W. Barriger III National Railroad Library Board of Trustees. Barriger also serves on the board of directors for the Hegeler Carus Foundation.

A reception will follow the lecture. Second Sundays Lectures are free to the public, but donations are accepted.
