Ottawa police drug investigators made an arrest Sunday morning.
Print this storyJeffrey J. Kostman, 29, was taken into custody at 4:39 a.m. on complaints of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $100 to be released on bond. Authorized with a search warrant, police said they entered 912 W. Joliet St., which is Kostman's home, finding drug packaging material and a little more than $1,000. Other people, who also were present, could be charged. The police department's emergency response team participated in the raid. Each charge is a misdemeanor, punishable by as long as 364 days in the county jail or as long as two years' probation, with as much as a $1,000 fine. Kostman's record includes arrests on complaints of domestic battery and driving under the influence. He also has lived in Grand Ridge. |
