STREATOR -- David A. Arroyo, 68, of Streator, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 9, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Following cremation rites, memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home, with memorial services at 2 p.m.

Born, July 1, 1940, in Ottawa, he was the son of Frank and Catherine (Almeda) Arroyo Sr. He married Darlene Sauers on Feb. 17, 1973. She survives.

Surviving are a son, Chris (Julie) Arroyo of Georgia; six daughters, Lori (Mark) Bongartz, Andrea (Jeff) Oldenburg, Ria (DeWayne) Kincade and Tammy (Kevin) Mquilken, all of Ottawa, Lisa (Stacy) Winnie of South Carolina and D'Anna (Jeff) Massey of Georgia; a stepson, William (Stacy) Allison of Chillicothe; a stepdaughter, Janice (Fred) Wahl of Streator; 26 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his mother, Catherine Arroyo of Ottawa; two brothers, Ron (Sue) Arroyo of Ottawa and Frank Arroyo Jr. of Peru; and two sisters, Connie Boswell and Linda (Rick) Schaibley, both of Ottawa.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Lillian Arroyo.

He was a laborer for Local Union 393 and was affiliated with Calvary Baptist Church.

He attended St. Columba School and Marquette High School.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of David Arroyo.
