He was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Flanagan, to Vernell and Lucille (Tuley) Drager. He is survived by his mother of Flanagan; four sisters, Dianne Drager of St. Louis, Mo., Linda (Dave) Harkey of Moline, Mary (Randy) Mounce of Pontiac and Christine Drager of Chicago; a nephew and niece, Dustin Mounce and Anna Harkey; and his longtime partner, companion and friend of 14 years, Kelly Armstrong, and her two children, Josh (Veronica) and Justin Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria and was a fellow Cursillistas. He was last employed as a driver for Peoria Charter Coach. He was the preferred driver for the Peoria Chiefs for many years. He was a country music line dancing instructor for many years, where he became known as "The Legend." Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home, 428 W. McClure Ave., Peoria, and a time of remembrance at 7 p.m. Visitation also will be after 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Alejandro A. Lopez officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Flanagan.
