LA SALLE - Naomi Costa of La Salle died Tuesday evening, Feb. 6, 2007, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Westlawn Cemetery in Chicago. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.

Mrs. Costa was born in Omaha, Neb., to Jacob and Rose (Schoenberg) Berkowitz. She married Abner Levine on Nov. 2, 1947. He died April 2, 1972. She then married Gildo Costa on Jun 30, 1978. He died Nov. 13, 1981.

She was a member of Temple B'nai Moshe and was a founding member of Deer Park Country Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Ronnie (William) Uebel of Peru and Linda Levine of Seattle, Wash.; a grandson; a sister, Elaine Sang of Northbrook; a brother, Herb Berkowitz of Fort Myers, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Carol (Paul) Perona of Peru and Lana (Gary) Peterlin of Oglesby; and many stepgrandchildren.
